[Enis tries to enter his office and leave before Llewellyn is able to catch her. She doesn't celebrate holidays and had planned to let this one pass like all the others but now she has a friend and-- it feels like she should do something.
And her gift isn't nearly as sappy as his. It does, however, take into account his idiosyncrasies with technology. Inside a perfectly wrapped brown package is a leather notebook that the detective can carry with him. There were also plastic tabs that he could use to mark pages and keep notes.
Tucked into the notebook is a lackluster typed note.]
So you don't always have to use the computer or those random ass pieces of paper that end up everywhere. I can make you one for each case if you like it.
[Enis would have been very amused by Llewellyn’s expression when he found the gift. It was probably the closest thing one could achieve to a ‘blue screen’ on a computer in human form. He certainly wasn’t used to getting gifts, and he hadn’t been expecting anything in return for the flowers. It was honestly perfect for him, he’d been in need of something just like it.
Since she’d slipped out before he got it, she would eventually find a note thanking her. It was definitely easier than bringing it up when he saw her next, able to give her his thanks coherently. No awkward fumbling or worry.]
Thank you, Enis. The notebook was very thoughtful, it’s just what I need to keep things a little more organized. I will probably take you up on your offer, I do tend to fill up notebooks very quickly though.

[Enis doesn't like these notes back and forth but there is one last thing she has to do. She makes about ten more of the same notebook and leaves them, once again, on Llewellyn's desk.
A surprise a few days later...

This time the note is shorter.]
Shut up.
Literally.
I don't want another note.
