[That was alot of words that Jason didn't totally understand. He doesn't know how that kinda works or honestly. How his own powers work.

He just stares at her blankly. The smile was nice but he's trying to wrap his mind around her explanation, he doesn't understand, he was simple man.]

So... cool it just... makes you warm, when... your cold.

[Oh lord he is trying.]

How long does it take to make it dangerous?

My body maintains its heat. [She says simply.] But if you freeze me to the point that metal shatters, it will not.

[It'd take a sudden flash of temperature and a lot of specifics but she doesn't want to concern him with the details.]

We can test it if you want.

Get a thermometer or something and try and kill me.

[She's totally cool with this plan.]

You want me to try and kill you?

[He was curious if he could get that cold but he wasn't sure if that was
good idea. He really doesn't wanna hurt her.]

I wanna try it... practice or something but I don't want to accidentally kill you. can't we use somethin' else?

[Enis exhales a soft huff.]

Fine.

[She'd hoped but oh well...]

We can test it but I still need a thermometer. I can take a sample of my blood and you can freeze it. We'll measure the temperature of the blood and of your hand. Once the blood drops below 57 degrees (f) then the person is beyond saving.

[He just kinda nods. He doesn't fully understand but he does enough to go along with it.]

Sounds kinda cool, where do we find a thermometer?

[He can give people frostbite so it seems promising. This all seemed kinda fun and a pretty good distraction.]

The store.

[Even a thermometer used when someone's sick will do the trick though Enis might spend the extra money for something more elaborate.]

Do you want to stop being... on me and do this right now?

[He was pretty damn comfy like this...]

I guess so sure. [It was very obvious he wasn't happy about getting up.]

It sounds kinda cool, I wanna see what happens.

[Enis sighs.]

Fine. [she doesn't sound happy about getting up.] The store should be open.

[She tries to lift her torso but his pushed down to the bed thanks to Jason's weight. Her bright vibrant blue yes looked down at him quizzically.] I think you need to get up first or we post pone this to tomorrow when I can pick up the stuff on the way home from work.

[There's small whine from him but he pushes himself up into a sitting position.]

Nah I don't wanna wait... I'm curious.

[He hasn't been to the store here yet so it's a nice adventure to distract him from all of the emotions he's feeling.]

where do you work?

I work at a repair shop that Rhys owns.

[Enis shifts and reaches for her black boots. She foregoes putting on socks but does grab a wallet, holding it in her palm since the sweater like dress she's currently wearing has no pockets.]

We'll pass it. I can point it out to you on the way.

[She nods towards the dorm room door.]

[Jason was just wearing some rumpled pajamas and only socks. He watches following behind her. ]

Who's Rhys?

[He hasn't been here long and the time he has, hasn't been very pleasant.]

Sounds good,... I haven't really been around this weird joint, mostly been in my room.

Rhys is my boss. he's a good guy. [She's leaving out the part where he kind of looks a little like Dodger because Enis rather not admit that to herself. She likes Rhys and she doesn't really like Dodger. He's okay and necessary but like... liking someone is new and uncomfortable.

Enis glances down at his feet and then grabs a pair of boots from someone else's things.]

Put these on. We'll be back quickly but I'm not carrying you if you step on glass or something.

[With that decided, Enis wants for him to put on the shoes and leads the way towards the shops.]

[Jason just follows, he doesn't know where this is or really where they could be going.]

He's got a dumb name...

[He looks at the boots taking them and tossing them down to step inside if he liked them, he'd probably keep them.]

They're to big, and I ain't gonna step on somethin.

You have a dumb name. [Enis has to stop herself from adding to the childishness of that statement.] I like him. Try to be nice. [Rhys is... something to her. It's hard to know what it is and Enis really doesn't want to think about it or hear Rhys get insulted.]

Fine then hurry.

[Goodness he's like a child.]

I don't know when the store closes.

[When they enter the shops Enis points over to a smaller store front.] That's where I work but we're going in here. [Aka, the Sphere's version of a Walgreens.]

My names not dumb, it's normal and boring. [He sticks his tongue out at her as they continue forward, he has the shoes on but he's clunking around them a bit more annoying then he needed to be.

When she mentions she likes him he snickers.]

Oooh do you like him? like you got a crush on him~

[He seems in better spirits picking some fun himself, he was indeed like a child. He looks over the storefront and looks around.]

Looks boring.

My name isn't boring. [She counters and then completely ignores his teasing. The truth is that Enis has no idea how she feels because she's never felt anything before.

What use are emotions to a machine?]

We'll be quick. We just need two thermometers. Then we can go.

I think there over here. Help me look. It'll say thermometer on the box.

[He hums and starts to look around for the thermometer. He wasn't going to be much help honestly, he doesn't know what they look like and the words to long for him to put the effort into sounding it out.

Why do we need two?

[He thought they only needed one, he didn't totally pay to much attention to what she was saying besides the basics.]

Because you're probably going to break one.

[At least she's honest???]

Here. [Enis grabs two of the packages from the shelf before walking towards the register.]

Yeah, probably.

[Absolutly, he will and possibly even do it by mistake before they even get back to the room.

He follows her to the register, the pair look like quite the pair at the moment.]

Will this work at all?

Yes.

[Enis pays for the two thermometers and keeps the bag in her hand as they leave the store.

She really doesn't trust Jason with anything breakable.]

Let's get back fast. I don't really want an audience while we do this.

[Honestly, for the best, he doesn't even trust himself with anything breakable, he just does his best.

He just follows behind her like some lost dog.]

It's not gonna be anything special? just gonna see how cold I can make shit?

That's right. Up to a point when the body cannot be healed. My blood doesn't die when it leaves me, it continues to replicate and grow. [She glances over at him and then explains.] Which is not normal.

So we're going to see how long it takes before you can kill me.

[It's a fucked up experiment but fun too.]

[Jason just follows behind quietly for a moment, before moving to walk next to her.

He just stares at Enis for a hot second with a frown.]

you got some weird idea that I'll kill you? Like... what's up with that? It sounds cool that your body fixes itself when hurt.

[He'd take that, but usually he's scared that he'll die all the time.]

Like... it's real fucked up you gotta work on that.

[Bright vibrant blue eyes glance over at Jason before refocusing on the path in front of them.] It is fucked up but I don't want to work on it Jason.

I want to die and if you can't do it then I'll find someone else.

[It's as simple as that.]
