[When Enis returned to her shop one afternoon, she would find a small bundle of flowers left on her workbench with a small note. The flowers were arranged nicely to make a full-looking bouquet tied with a teal chiffon ribbon.
The flowers were selected carefully, with specific meanings. Zinnia for everlasting friendship, apple blossom for preference, pansy for a friend you think of often, and Eucalyptus for protection and to strengthen the bond of friendship to last. It was a traditional selection for a bouquet gifted to friends in his era, and Llewellyn was surprisingly sentimental (sappy) enough to share such things. Especially where he found himself comfortable enough since arriving here to embrace his love of flowers and floriography.
The note read (along with a description of what the flowers meant):]
I’m not sure if you like flowers, but I thought I might share these with you in appreciation for your friendship. It has been said that I can be a difficult sort both to work with and befriend, so I thank you for having the patience to do both. You’ve become one of my most trusted friends and have made my stay here that much better for knowing you.
With my deepest respect, Det. Watts.
P. S. Though admittedly I considered a bouquet more suited towards an apology for breaking things, but I believe what’s done is unfortunately done where that’s concerned.
(ooc: This is just a little nice thing he’s doing for his closest cr this month, as mentioned it definitely doesn’t need to be a thread or anything where there is a lot going on! We can refer back to it later but it was fun to write these little letters up :3)
A surprise sometime in December
